WOW - that is beautiful!!
I thought for a long time about bags.
But apart from the difficult Bionic Gear Bag I never made one. I downloaded several patterns but most of them looked difficult or the instructions were sloppy. I even bought two or three - the same.
But now!!
Byannie offers many patterns and notions and several free videos for special things like zippers.
Still I hesitated.
But now!!
Craftsy offers a Video-class for the Ultimate Travel Bag, 7 videos for about 25 $. Each video is about 20-30min long and Annie explains each step very detailed.
There are almost 300 very positive ratings. (Not like with the Bionic Gear Bag!)
Now I risked it and bought the class.
And on top you can ask questions for each of the videos, Annie answers them. For example I managed to slide of the zipper-thing after I sewed the zipper on the bag (despite I secured it). But another customer had had the same problem, asked the question and I could read Annies answer. The result: I managed to reattach the zipper on the very first try!!
I am abolutely thrilled. The bag turned out sooo beautiful, was very easy to make and does not look like 'selfmade'!
Of course, now I'm hooked.
Annie offers one free download, a pattern for a pencil case.
I had fabric left - I didn't know how generous Annie writes the shopping-list. So I bought 15 inch extra.
Ok. Now I know that Annie calculates generous. No need for extra fabric.
I used some of the remaining fabric for the pencil case. It is as beautiful as the Travel Bag.
I put the Karen-Buckley-scissors on the photo so you can see the dimensions.
And I ordered more patterns, so be prepared to see more bags on this site :-)
I link this quilt with crazymomquilts and busyhandsquilts.
