I quilt for the retirement-home...

A neighbour of my parents wants to have a bedcover. She trusted me to chose the fabric and the pattern, but she gave directions: no blue, no red, very calm, no sparkling fabrics.

Oh dear!!

I decided to make the star-pattern, each star is 12 inch wide.

I did the blocks with freemotion quilting. I used stippeling for the background and nothing for the stars - it almost looks like trapunto!

For the sashing I quilted the leaves, I like them very much!
