I needed another picknick-mat and still had a second set of flower-fabric with matching Kona-cotton.

This time I chose a very simple grid-pattern, but because of the brilliant colors the result looks fantastic!

...and another try with freemotion-quilting.

I don't know. If I quilt on a small sandwich, freemotion is easy. But on a big quilt (and this picknick-mat is not that big) it is difficult. My circles are not even and the stitchlength varies a lot!

I will continue to try, I hope to master it someday.
