When I was in the quiltstore for the first time, the owner asked me if I would machine-quilt or hand-quilt. I answered with total conviction “Of course with the machine, life is too short for hand-quilting”. The owner was so diplomatic as to not answering but showed me the shelf with the machine-thread.

Oh well. Life went on.

Of course I had to try hand-quilting at least once!! As usual I started without any knowledge, I had watched some youtube-Videos, that was all. I bought needles and yarn for handquilting. Thimble? I don’t need one, I have one from garment-sewing.

I got a template on a fair, I already had the marker-pencil – let’s go!

And as usual everything was twisted and warped.
