The daughter of friends is having a baby at the end of june, they expect a boy.

Missouristar has just released the new pattern Dandy-stars.

It has just the right size and I like even the colours. But as usual I don't use precuts. Instead I went to my quiltshop and bought all the cute and funny baby fabric they offer.

It was pure fun to sew such a small quilt. And thanks to the cotton batting I was able to fmq it.

I had to piece the backing, there was not enough  of the flower-fabric left. But it turned out even and the creme print goes well with the flowers.

One year later:
The baby is no baby any more and the quilt is used as a playground!
